One of Nepal’s top university teaching hospitals, Dhulikhel Hospital, is situated outside of Kathmandu and is well-known throughout the world for its patient-centered care, medical education, and steadfast dedication to community health. International medical and public health students are exposed to clinical practice, multidisciplinary teamwork, emergency treatment, rural outreach initiatives, and creative ways to healthcare delivery in a resource-diverse setting through guided hospital visits and academic interaction.
Students get a unique perspective on health systems, illness prevention, and fair access to care by seeing how tertiary healthcare is interwoven with community-based public health efforts. To gain a deeper understanding of Nepal’s healthcare innovations and difficulties, they can also engage with hospital leadership, researchers, and healthcare workers.
Our organization, GEI Asia has installed a water filtration plant and public water kiosk at Dhulikhel Hospital as part of our dedication to enhancing sustainability and health, guaranteeing that patients, guests, and hospital employees have access to clean drinking water. This project highlights the significance of collaborations between healthcare facilities and development organizations and provides a real-world illustration of how environmental health, water, and sanitation measures lead to better health outcomes.
